I'm a wedding and elopement photographer with over seven plus years of full-time experience, based in North Carolina and shooting all over the country from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Pacific Northwest coastline.

My world is centered by a love for legacy, adventure, and documenting beautiful things alongside the people I get to share them with. Family, faith, friends, and my one-year-old golden retriever, Lola, fill my most ordinary days with joy and that's the same spirit I bring to your day. why I shoot film

I get asked about this more than almost anything else, so let's talk about it.

Digital gives me everything: crisp detail, reliability, a gallery of every single moment from your entire day, delivered fast. It's the backbone of what I shoot, and it's not going anywhere. But film is where the feeling lives.

35mm is where the warmth comes in. That soft grain, those true-to-life colors that don't need a filter to feel nostalgic, the way skin tones and golden light just sit differently on film than they do on a sensor. It's not about better, it's about different. Film slows me down. I've got a limited number of frames, so every one is intentional. That's where a lot of my favorite images from your day end up living.

Super 8 is a whole different animal. It's not stills, it's motion, the same format your grandparents' home movies were shot on. I bring it out for the in-between moments: getting ready, walking down the aisle, the blur of a first dance. There's something about watching your wedding day move again, grainy and imperfect and alive, that a photograph just can't give you. It's less "here's a picture of your day" and more "here's what it felt like to be there."

So when people ask why I mix all three into a single gallery, that's the honest answer: digital gives you the full story, 35mm gives you the feeling, and Super 8 gives you the memory back in motion. Together, that's capturing the way it felt, in every format I've got.
